My Inquiry

Community education, tertiary, vocational training and schools all face the need for a fundamental shift in the way we think about learning.

My interest lies in participatory forms of learning design and action inquiry; co-creating spaces that promote learner-centredness, creativity and collaboration, driven by an individual's ownership of their learning, in order to make critical decisions in the real world, as knowledgeable, inquiring citizens.

A key aspect I consider central to this is liminality.

Liminality is a beautiful thing. As we learn we are on the tip of new understanding, struggling at the point of knowing, at the edges of our comfort zone, and always building at the margins of our knowledge.

We see the finer points and marvel at the bigger picture. We see ourselves reflected in the world in which we live and it in turn reflected in us.

A reflection of ourselves?

We connect, interact, emote.
